You couldn’t get through the 90s without hearing the song “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck.” It is an aggressive, catchy song that remains a beloved track in the rock and metal community, and beyond. Prong has so much more to offer those who venture further into their music and discography, and they are adding another killer album, self-titled Prong, on November 6th, 2026. I have had the luxury of listening to it, and it is delectable. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
Prong formed in New York in 1986. They were one of the many legendary 80s hardcore bands, like Biohazard, Madball, and Sick of it All, that paved the way for this style of music. Currently, the lineup includes Tommy Victor (vocals, guitar), Tyler Joseph (drums), and Christopher Dean (bass). Prong‘s catchy, groovy riffs, insane musicianship, and important themes make them a consistent act that maintains exceptional quality. They continue to inspire and entertain with impressive songs and incredible live shows. If you loved them before, you will love them now. Grab the album, and make sure you catch a show near you!
Tommy sat down with Metal Nation to discuss the new album and other topics.
