In addition, Novareign filmed and edited an insightful and personal 10-minute video allowing the band members to comment on the album’s creation and its 9 songs. Prior snippets have been unveiled about specific songs, such as the singles “Beyond the Cold” and “Heavy Heart”, but today the full video is available below:

Influenced by bands like Iron Maiden and Dream Theater to Dragonforce and Angra, Novareign are the next generation of Progressive Power Metal telling stories in musical literature speaking to a generation influenced by epic fantasy tales, comic books and video games. Having made a reputation for themselves through energy-abounding live shows filled with nonstop shredding guitar interplay and powerful traditional metal vocals Novareign are poised to take their craft worldwide and compete on a larger stage.

and “Heavy Heart”

These power metal enthusiasts hailing from California waste no time with their debut album, immediately diving into a mass of riffs, powerful vocals and galloping bass. The rest of the album rides on the momentum of these initial notes to create one of the best releases in the traditional metal revival that’s been going on for the past few years… Legends is also an incredibly fun album… When you take into account that this is a debut release, these facts become even more impressive. We think it’s safe to tell you to mark Novareign’s name; these boys are going somewhere.” – Heavy Blog is Heavy

There is something that can’t help but to fascinate me with tracks like ‘Heavy Heart’ with their high powered guitarmonies. There is a level of compositional excellence here that hearkens back not just to Shrapnel Records but also the work of neoclassical composers like Paganini. Of course, within this all there is a great sense of fun, padded out by fantasy inspired lyrics and all sorts of tasty little flourishes that only serve to make Legends one of the most addictive power metal records I’ve heard in a long time.” – Two Guys Metal Reviews

Novareign will perform their headlining record release show Saturday, Feb. 17th at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach, CA
