In 2015 the UK was starting to buzz with the anticipation of a new band that was grabbing rock by its roots and reminding people how exciting a night away can be. BlitZ then released their first EP in 2016 and their debut full length album Welcome To The Rock Show in 2019. After this they went back to the studio fairly quickly and released second album, Fight To Survive. In 2020, when the world had quieted, they refused to stay quiet and released a video, “We’re Alright”, which featured a lot of people holding up signs as a reminder throughout the song.
Today, they have released their third studio album, Kicking Up a Storm, and are proving they are here to stay. Stuart Cordon (vocals, bass), Kevin Simpson (guitar), and Mat Davis (drums, vocals), like to focus on crowd interaction and involvement, BlitZ is a show you don’t want to miss! The album is full of catchy 80’s style riffs with modern twists, a ballad, and fist pumping worthy choruses.
Stuart sat down with Metal Nation and discussed this album and the history of BlitZ. (If viewing from your phone, scroll to the end of the page and click on “View Desktop Version” to gain interview and video access.
