UNLEASH THE ARCHERS INTERVIEW: Brittney Slayes Motivates Us All

0

There is absolutely nothing mundane about the Canadian band, Unleash The Archers. These JUNO award winners have also had number-one spots on the US Current Hard Music and Top New Artist charts, along with numerous top spots on many lists including Loudwire. Abyss was Metal Nation’s number-one album of 2020. UTA has shown no signs of stopping with the upcoming album, Phantoma, which tells a story about an AI intelligence who is trying to learn her spot in a dystopian world the humans have destroyed. Two things Brittney Slayes is a master at are storytelling and her vocal ranges. She has continued to inspire and swim into the hearts of many fans around the world. Phantoma will be released on May 10th, 2024 through Napalm Records.

Unleash the Archers are a powerhouse of a team. Along with Slayes are shredding guitarists, Andrew Kingsley and Grant Truesdell. Nick Miller is rocking the bass while Scott Buchanan continues to beat the drums to oblivion. These master musicians have created a soundscape that brings Slayes story to a whole other dimension. The shift that happens with Phantoma, you hear and feel through the imaginative compositions. You don’t even need to hear the lyrics to understand the change in mood. It is good to know UTA can continue to blow our minds after the perfection of the last two albums, Apex and Abyss.

Slayes was kind enough to sit down with Metal Nation again and discuss this release. Her philosophy on life is one of my favorite things about her as a human, she is a genuine and good soul. I am so thankful there are still people like her in this ever-changing and challenging world we live in.
