Thrash metal will always be near and dear to my heart. There are some great thrash bands out there, and Exumer is one of them. They have been around since 1985 and continue to make their mark with every album release. They are continuing to keep their stride with the upcoming album Death Mask Messiah, which will be out on August 28th, 2026, and it is another incredible one!
Exumer is a German band that started with Mem V. Stein (vocalist, bassist) and Ray Mensh (guitar). They have had a few member changes along the way, but on Death Mask Messiah they’re joined by Jerome Reil (drums), Marc B. (guitar), and Alex Voss (bass). Mem hasn’t steered away from important topics, including politics, the pandemic, and cultural division. After seven years since their last album, they came in full steam ahead and made something truly special.
