ATER Interview: Fernando Finding Inspiration Through Life and Reading

One of the best things about running Metal Nation is the music I get to hear every day. Some bands and albums hit me harder than others, and Ater is one of them, especially with their upcoming album, Everlasting. It will be released on January 29th. 2027, and it is just brilliant. This gothic-doom and progressive band has breaths of darkness and creativity. The compositions are at times heavy and fast, and other times slow and steady. They did a beautiful job of bringing an atmosphere that makes your mind wander to some of the deepest parts of the soul

Ater was formed in Chile in 2010 and consists of musicians Fernando Bühring (vocals, bass), Vincent Zbinden (drums), Christian Vallejos (guitar), and Javier Ciudad (guitar). Bühring showcases harsh and clean, haunting vocals with grace, nearly perfecting both styles. His soulful ability to ignite the music’s feeling is impressive. Everlasting is an album you do not want to miss.

Bühring sat down with Metal Nation to discuss this release.
