LACRIMUS PROFUNDERE Interview: Julian Encourages Us To Embrace the Darkest Parts of Ourselves

I have really enjoyed the evolution of Lacrimus Profundere, but their newest album, Lay Me Down O Silent Fear, has reached new heights for me. The heaviness they omit hits all the right spots. It blends soundscapes and compositions with clean and harsh vocals, plus everything you love about gothic music, with a few added core layers. Lacrimus Profundere is a German band that began around 1993. While the lineup has changed over the years, I think they have found a solid group of musicians and are moving forward with a fresh sound while still honoring their roots. Julian Larre (Vocals), Oliver Nikolas Schmid (Guitars), Ilker Ersin (Bass), and Dominik Scholz (Drums) make up the current lineup, and I am beyond impressed by the creativity, evolution, and talent.
