VICIOUS RAIN Interview: David and Mauro Talk The Storm and The Rain

Metalcore is an emotional genre that evokes a range of feelings and thoughts. While the genre has been around for many years, there are still bands coming out and tackling this category. Vicious Rain is one of these bands and is releasing its full-length second album, titled The Anatomy of Surviving, on March 13th, 2026. The album is full of heart and soul, and incredible musicianship and vocals. It tackles the human experience of anxiety, survival, self-destruction, and loss, all the things that make the human encounter messy, stressful, difficult, yet beautiful.

Vicious Rain began in 2022 out of Switzerland with members: David Häusermann (vocalist), Mauro Gugerli (vocals and guitar), Tristan Meier (guitar), Loris De Notaristefano (bass), and Michael Teufelberger (drums). This five-piece creates a perfect storm of soundscapes, diversity, beautiful, clean, and harsh vocals, incredible compositions, and heartfelt lyrics that make you feel all the things. The comfort when you need it, the peace when you feel alone, the hug that you long for when going through tough times. I encourage all who love this particular genre to make sure you check this one out!

David and Mauro were kind enough to sit down with me and discuss this release.
