There are some really interesting band names out there, and when you hear the origin story, sometimes it takes away from the name because there is not much to the story. That is not the case with Karin Comes Killing. The name originates from a Native American woman who had passed away; it was her name, Karin Comes Killing. I don’t know about you, but that is one of the coolest names I have ever heard, and I love that my friends in KCK utilized that name and opportunity to honor her and continue a really amazing legacy through her name. The band took this name and turned it into a character who is a serial killer and began an adventure and storyline with this character. They have recently released an album titled The Crooked Place.
Scott Elliot (guitar) created the original idea and got hold of his buddy Stymie Grille (bass), and Karin Comes Killing was on its way to composing their sound. Tragedy recently befell this band as they lost their beloved member, Stymie. Other band members: Richie Cesler. (drums), Alex Tighe (vocals), Merlin Pursely (guitar), and now Sean Padgett (bass), have remembered and continued to move forward in honor of their fallen friend. This insanely talented band has a heavy groove with super catchy riffs, incredible vocals, and a consistent sound that keeps you invested and headbanging.
