EXODUS Interview: Rob Discusses Dementia and Music

Some bands are able to stand the test of time for many decades. They continue to be relevant and release incredible music, which I can’t imagine is easy after so long. The consistency is astonishing, while being able to evolve into the modern musical era. Exodus is one of those bands. They maintain interest from the music community and deliver every time. Even with the member changes, they still hold true to their sound. Goliath is another great example of this, with vocalist Rob Dukes returning on vocals after many years. The album will be out on March 20th, 2026, through Napalm Records.

Exodus began in 1979 and became a metal fan favorite early on. Arguably considered the fifth of the big four of thrash metal (along with Testament and Overkill), they swept into the hearts of many and sustained their role there over the years. Members for Goliath consist of: Gary Holt (guitar), Tom Hunting (drums), Jack Gibson (bass, backing vocals), Lee Altus (guitar), and the aforementioned return of Rob Dukes on vocals. This album is full of thrash metal goodness as well as some multi-genre melodies and insatiable guitar work, of course. It is another extraordinary album, and if you are a thrash fan or just a fan of good music, I encourage you to check it out.
