Welcome to the Age of Wolves! From the frigid tundra of Windsor, Ontario Canada a new metal powerhouse is on the hunt. Metal Nation Magazine has partnered with Age Of Wolves to exclusively premiere a series of videos documenting the band’s birth, creative process, and debut live event during the 2020/21 pandemic lockdown. Prepare to feast!
October 6, 2019 marked the first gathering for a brand new project, which would later become known as Age of Wolves. The pack features Gypsy Chief Goliath guitarist/vocalist Al Yeti Bones alongside former Thy Kingdom Slum members Michael Edwards (vocals), Ray Solomon (bass), and Dwayne Laframboise (drums). With no preconceived ideas or particular direction in mind, these four like-minded musicians began the journey of creating something new to share with the world. A world which would be transformed into a new reality less than six months later. As a result of this new landscape, the band decided to document their experience with local filmmaker Syx Langemann. Forming a new band, and writing and recording new music, are difficult enough tasks on their own…let alone while dealing with a worldwide pandemic.
Yet, through perseverance and passion, this group managed to not only record their debut album in-between lockdowns, but also play their debut show (albeit, to a legally mandated, socially distanced crowd of less than 50 people). With thanks to Adam Micalczuk for live sound, and Brynn Kibble (in-house sound man at Windsor’s The Backstage), that performance was also recorded and interwoven within the chapters of the documentary.
With 11 weeks lost to quarantine and a fair amount of ring-rust, this show fell one year and 2 days from that original October 2019 gathering in The Den. An achievement the band is quite proud of, especially in these crazy and unprecedented times.

The first song “Lil Burner” is an ode to Ozzy Osbourne, with a tip of the cap to everyone who lives for the music. So…Go F**king Crazy!!
The Pack dedicates this one to everyone who misses the concert experience. Cheers!!
