Sweden has been the breeding ground for some of the best metal and hard rock music. I am about ready to uproot my family and move there due to their consistency in being the top dog in these genres. The Chuck Norris Experiment is another band who comes from the land of Sweden and has been rocking for twenty years now, which is why they named their latest album, 20, which was released on June 27th, 2024.
Classic Rock Magazine has given 20 an 8/10, which is well deserved. Band members: Chuck Ransom (vocals), Chuck the Ripper (guitar), Chuck Dakota (bass), Chuck Buzz (drums), Chuck Daniels (guitar), and Chuck Rooster (guitar), see a pattern here? Have dedicated their efforts to creating a hard rock album full of catchy riffs, killer guitar solos, gritty vocals, and blasting drum and bass beats. There is also some diversity throughout, which is something I appreciate in albums. I hear a strong resemblance to Beautiful Creatures with Ransom’s vocals, who I am a big fan of. They are definitely worth check out! My favorites include; “Bats”, and “Jason Voorhees”. Can you tell I dig the creepier songs? Which is something they tend to add into their albums, and I love that.
Ransom was kind enough to sit down with Metal Nation and discuss this release as well as the band in general. (If you are viewing from your phone, please scroll to the bottom and click “View Desktop Version” to get interview and video access).
