Trivium have released a video recapping the Fall 2017 leg of The Sin and The Sentence Tour, featuring Arch Enemy. It was a massively successful trek for the band and boasted some of the best North American attendance tallies in Trivium’s history.
In the six-minute clip, singer/guitarist Matt Heafy reveals that “Betrayer,” which appears on the band’s new album The Sin and the Sentence, is his favorite new song to play live. He points out that the song encapsulates everything that fans have come to know and love about Trivium, all the while branching out into new sonic territory.
The footage ends with a live rendition of the song, which was captured during the rehearsals for the aforementioned fall tour.

Trivium will embark on a buzzed-about European headlining tour starting March 10 in The Netherlands. Trivium will be joined for the full tour by Power Trip and Venom Prison, and additionally, Code Orange joins as a guest for all UK dates. All dates are here.
Trivium will resume touring in North America this spring. The band will hit the road with Bullet For My Valentine in May. Trivium will appear at several festivals, such as Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion, as well. Dates are below.

Recorded with producer Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Gojira) at Santa Ana, California’s Hybrid Studios, The Sin and the Sentence finds Trivium – Matt Heafy (lead vocals, lead guitar), Corey Beaulieu (guitar, vocals), Paolo Gregoletto (bass) and Alex Bent (drums) – returning with their first new music since their celebrated 2015 LP, Silence in the Snow. The new LP also features the band’s first recordings with new drummer Bent who joined the band last year.
Just two years ago, Trivium made a stunning impact with Silence in the Snow, arriving at #3 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart and #19 on the overall Billboard 200 marking Trivium’s third consecutive Top 20 debut. Hailed by Alternative Press as the “the purest metal of the year,” Silence in the Snow. featured the Top 10 Rock Radio hit “Until The World Goes Cold” and stands as a long gestating creative milestone for the acclaimed band.
Trivium catapulted into the first ranks of modern metal with 2004’s Roadrunner debut, Ascendency, which was named “Album of the Year” by Kerrang! 2006’s The Crusade incorporated new melodic colors into the band’s sound, resulting in widespread critical applause and a top 25 Billboard 200 debut. Shogun followed two years later and received even greater acclaim and chart success, including a #1 debut on the UK’s Rock Albums Chart. In 2011, In Waves hit #1 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums,” not to mention a stunning top 15 debut on the overall Billboard 200. Two years later, Vengeance Falls arrived at #2 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart. Vengeance Falls went on to make the Top 10 charts in Australia and Germany, representing some of band’s highest international chart debuts to date.
