SUTURIST Interview: The Origin Story

The year 2019/2020 brought a lot of terrible things, but it also brought some incredible things. Daniel Rodriguez and Isaac Torres had played in a band, Above the Dead, many years ago, and decided to regroup and start a new band, which became Suturist. Daniel was quick to ask Jeremy Franklin, the bass player, and another musician he had played with in a band called Rise of the Fallen. At this point, he asked long-time friend guitarist Alex Vogel to join in. They started creating music and began looking for a vocalist. Scott Charles (also vocalist for Dead at Dawn), a well-known vocalist in the area, decided to give it a shot, and Suturist was quick to ask him to join. They quickly moved into one of the most beloved bands in the Boise scene.

Suturist is a metalcore band and has recorded a few songs and played many shows. They stay very active and busy and have even traveled for some shows outside of the area. One thing you will most likely see at a Suturist show is a bunch of moshers taking to the floor and starting a rowing line. Scott has an insane vocal range and fantastic stage presence. They are all great showmen and have incredible energy. A far from boring live experience, which is why I encourage you all to catch them!
