If you don’t know who Steve Dadaian is yet, you will soon. This electric and classical guitar player has been turning many heads and playing alongside some of the greats, including Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess. Dadaian has his second solo album, Revenant City, coming out on May 9th, 2025.
Dadaian started his career in 2005 and has made his name known by covering many songs like Dragonforce‘s “Through Fire and Flames”, and Dream Theater‘s “Under a Glass Moon”. He also has covered video game songs from Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda, among many other covers. His first solo album titled Follow the Light was released in 2019. He has explained how there is a story behind the instrumental albums and encourages everyone to check out the booklets that come with the CDs or PDF file if buying digitally, to follow the adventures with the music. He is already an insanely talented musician, will be considered up there with some of the greats, and the added story element really brings his talent to another level.
These musicians take a lot of time and energy creating music for our earholes, so when they go the extra mile for more artistic entertainment, I am all over it.
Steve sat down with Metal Nation to discuss this upcoming release and his picture of how the music world is, who he wants to work with, and Revenant City. (If you are viewing from your phone, please scroll to the end of the page and click “View Desktop Version” to gain interview and video access).
