Concert Review: NOTHING MORE Shakes The Knitting Factory in a Sold Out Show

Another sold-out show at The Knitting Factory Boise, Nothing More continues to impress old and new fans alike. On May 6th, 2025, Nothing More brought their game along with touring band Kingdom Collapse and local band Sky Burns Brighter, with a night of incredible rock music and amazing performances. With a sold-out show, you know the energy will be strong, but when you add in some top performers, it explodes into another realm of energy that keeps you buzzing for days after. Nothing More is a band you must see to fully understand what I am referring to.

The night was full of anticipation as concertgoers laughed and talked about what they were the most excited about for the upcoming show. Local Boise band Sky Burns Brighter got to begin the night. They were a mix of pop-punk style vocals with some groove metal sections and a bit of a 90’s vibe. If that sounds confusing, you need to check them out to see how they somehow make it work. This was my first time seeing them, and I was impressed with the quality of musicianship we continue to have in Boise. I don’t think people outside of our area realize what Boise, Idaho has to offer in the music scene and department. Every time I see another local band, I am blown away. Sky Burns Brighter fit the bill and started the night boosting up people’s energy and getting the crowd warmed up.

Next Kingdom Collapse entered the stage. They brought a ton of spirit and had great crowd interaction. The bass player, Aaron Smith was a lot of fun to watch, I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. The most shocking part of the set was them covering, “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, you know it, “feel the rain on your skin”. It was not something I expected, but it was a fun cover to watch. They also played, “Save Me From Myself” and “Never Be Like You”. I was impressed watching the three band members harmonize, I have always enjoyed seeing and hearing those types of things. Jonathan Norris (vocals), David Work (guitar), Smith (bass), and Elijah Santucci (drums), for an unsigned, DIY, band, they are very good and a lot of fun to watch.

Nothing More was the main event for the night and the reason The Knitting Factory was packed to the gills. You could tell the excitement hype up as they took the stage, the crowd loved their Nothing More. They came barreling in with some intense energy and had some of the best crowd involvement I have witnessed. “If it Doesn’t Hurt” about brought the walls down as the crowd lost their damn minds. It was so intense, the music actually shook the venue, I don’t think I have ever experienced that before, and that venue is practically my second home. This band from San Antonio, Texas continues to sell out venue after venue, and it is easy to see why. Vocalist Jonny Hawkins started as the bands drummer, so he takes time out of each set to destroy the drums as a fun extra entertainment point. Other members include: Mark Vollelunga (guitar, backing vocals), Daniel Oliver (bass, backing vocals), and Ben Anderson (drums) who are all extremely talented and captivating the whole set.   capti
